Summary of Wisconsin Graduated Licensing Law
(detailed chart bottom of this page)
Wisconsin has a three stage licensing process for minors.
  1. Temps-instruction Permit (at least age 15 ˝ ) We recommend our Driver Ed in a Box® to use during the Learner stage. Shows the parent how to teach collision-free driving habits and provides unique teaching tools (mirrors, checklists, videos, audio instruction series, etc.).
  2. Probationary License (at least 16)
  3. Regular License (at least 19)
Teens want to know how to stay out of collisions!
Today’s teens do not just want their license; they want to be good collision-free drivers. They know the risks. Virtually all have friends who got a license and were involved in a collision in the first four weeks. Most teens have lost classmates due to fatal collisions.
Driver Ed in a Box® Certificate of Completion!

Our product now includes both the Interactive CD-Rom Version and the Textbook Version for one low price.  You may use either version to complete the course at your own pace.

Teens want to know "why" the things you ask them to do will work. When you complete the full course you get a Certificate of Completion. Take this to your insurance agent. It varies state by state and by insurance company, but you may receive an insurance discount.
Using the full course your teen will learn why each step is important while learning the collision-free HABITS that make you a better driver. The full course also includes a section on Social & Consumer Issues. This includes how alcohol and drugs as well as emotions and attitude affect driving performance. Also covered are vehicle ownership (buying, leasing, insuring, and maintaining).
Over 15,000 students have used Driver Ed in a Box®.
"The program gives detailed instructions on how to instruct your teen, everything is clearly laid out, and the information given really works." - Eve Messick, Parent
"Driver Ed in a Box broadened my mind to new concepts of driving that I had never heard before. I do feel more prepared to join the traffic pattern. I now try to always stay patient, cautious and cooperative when driving. The program helps me to relax when I am on the road." - Devin C. Miles, Student
"Driver Ed in a Box was very easy to understand. It allowed the parent to be in the "driver's seat" when determining if and when their teen is ready to drive." - J.M., Parent
