| Teens want to know how to stay out of collisions!
|
| Todays teens do not just want their license;
they want to be good collision-free drivers. They know the risks.
Virtually all have friends who got a license and were involved in
a collision in the first four weeks. Most teens have lost classmates
due to fatal collisions. |

"My dad and I listened to the
tapes and watched several of the beginning videos, and my dad explained
the terminology used before starting in the parking lot. Once I began
driving, I would say what actions I was doing, such as 'Clear left,
clear right, clear left' or "Mirror.' This system of driver Commenting
was probably the most helpful part of the program, both because it
made me conscious of whether or not I was doing the right things and
it told my dad exactly what I was thinking so that he would know if
I was aware of the hazards or if he needed to alert me." - Matt
Ashbaugh, Student |

"This program is very good
in explaining the steps for each maneuver. It gradually builds from
the beginner's lessons up to the skilled, and gives some situations
that one might meet up with in their driving. I enjoyed the Driver
Ed in a Box curriculum." - Julia Shore, Parent |
|
| "I like the check list on each
of the types of driving, I can even look back at it now and find where
I had problems. It was hard in freeway traffic to keep distance between
the other driver and me. I learned that it can really make you mad
as you just get your distance and someone pull into it. It was also
hard on the freeway to avoid driving in another drivers blind
spot. The videos covered that also, but the real help was doing it."
